Welcome to your Fairfield Warde Wiki Workshop space

Here, we'll be working on today's professional development workshop. If you'd like to get down to business, skip down to the directions below. However, before that, we'd like you to feel free to get to know Wikispaces a little bit. This is a resource that is free to educators and allows you to create a digital platform for you and your students to construct knowledge together. It's pretty hard to get lost on a Wiki. Just click on "all pages" to the left and then "home" under "all pages" to return here. For those of you already familiar with Wikispaces, you might notice some slight differences. That's because Wikispaces did some updating on Tuesday. Isn't that just the way of things with technology [insert stand-up comedy routine here]?

One think that is important to remember about this Wiki; as a member of this space, you can change just about anything. This is a gentle warning. Don't worry too much though, pretty much anything that's done can be undone.

To the left you notice lists of pages. These are all of the pages associated with our website. Notice the bottom page entitled "additional resources." Here, we've posted some more information that relates back to some of the topics we've discussed in today's workshop. Have al look.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Look to the left column and click on the page titled "Non-Fiction Reading."

  2. If you don't immediately see "Non-Fiction Reading" look for "All Pages" and click on that. You should then be able to see "Non-Fiction Reading."
